Sorting Matricies

I have a 100 by 100 matrix. Each row across is filled with intensity data for an individual cell. (Diffusive motion almost) I want to average each row and get an AVERAGE Intensity for each row/cell. The next step is to sort the rows from the least AVERAGE Intensity to the greatest.
When we sort the averages, we lost track of which correspond to which row.
Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

[b,c]=sort(a)
b will have the sorted a, while c contains the index.
Hope it helps.
