Cannot use Installed Global Optimization Toolbox

8 views (last 30 days)
I have MATLAB 2018b, and am using the ga function and receive the following error:
''ga' requires Global Optimization Toolbox.'
However when I check the ver command I get that I have the toolbox enabled. So clearly I have the install on, and even using the function matlab.addons.isAddonEnabled('GD') returns 1. So I am not sure how to be able to use the installed toolbox.
Any help is appreciated!

Run these from a script or the Command Window:
restoredefaultpath
rehash toolboxcache
If that fails, use the Contact Us link in the upper right corner of this page and ask for installation help.

you could get this if you do not have global optimization toolbox installed or if it is not licensed
