How to create a empty binary vector?

Hi sir/mam
i just want to create a empty binary vector to store 12 bit information, so i want to create a 12 bit empty binary vector. how can i do that in matlab?

A = false(1, 12)
This is a logical vector, because there is not binary type in Matlab. A vector cannot be empty and have a certain size at the same time.
