What does 'un' mean here ?

[a1,b,c] = unique(cellfun(@char,a,'un',0))
I read the cellfun page but didn't find anything about this.

'un' is short for 'uniformoutput' https://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/ref/cellfun.html#d117e138796
It means to wrap the result of each function call into a cell. That way the function call does not need to return a scalar.
