- Make sure that you have an active internet connection.
- On the Home tab, click Help > Check for Updates > Products.

MATLAB updates are a cumulative set of fixes that are applied to an existing installation. Updates are not a complete installation of MATLAB; only affected files and products in the existing installation are modified.
When you install a MATLAB update, you get not only the most recent update for your version but all prior updates for your version as well.
Update from Notifications:
If a more recent version is available, a notification displays in MATLAB when you start the program. To install the MATLAB update, click the notification icon and select Install Update. If you click the notification but then decide to update at a later time, the notification icon is no longer red, but you can still install the update.

You can also check for updates manually.
