I am aware of adding a saved image from the drive into a report using mlreportgen.dom.Image class. I am trying to write a color uint8 matrix into a Word report, is this possible? Or must I save the matrix to a tiff, create a mlreportgen.dom.Image object and then write that to the report?
I am trying to avoid having to write temp files to the disk if the matrix is already in memory. Can I create an Image object without a hard drive directory?
Thanks for any insight.

You must save your color matrix on disk in one of the image file formats supported by Word. The Report Generator's Image object alllows you to use a MATLAB script to store that image file in a Word document (docx) package.
