Uneven spacing between texts in command window?? help!!!

3 views (last 30 days)
As you can see it, something triggered uneven spacing in command windows. I do not know how to describe it properly. So I am posting a screenshot here. I am not sure how it happened, but it is kinda annoying. I have a matrix j and because of uneven spacing, the positions for element '4' and '5' are shifted toward left visually. I ran the same code on "MATlab online"(scroll horizontally) and you can see the visual difference between two outputs. how can i change back it normal?

What do you have your command window font preference set to?

My guess is that you're not using a fixed width font.
Here's instructions how to change the font:
Try setting it to Monospaced.

In the Environment section of the Home tab of the Toolstrip, select Preferences. Navigate to the Fonts item under MATLAB. What font are you using for the Command Window? You may need to look not only at the "Desktop code font" section of the Fonts item but also the Custom subitem under Fonts.
Consider selecting a monospace option.
