Hello,
I am using Ubuntu 18.04, Matlab 2019a.
As previously Matlab was crashing due to nVidia drivers it seems that in the current version, perhaps just temporarliy before nVidia releases new drivers, Matlab selects openGL for rendering. This means it doesn't crash which is great but also the figures aren't too great. Blobs on scatter plot are very edgy etc. Also when exporting figures to pdf it is blurry while previously it was nice and sharp.
I need a workaround to switch to nvidia rendering, even if I risk crashing matlab, to produce figures.
I usually start matlab from the terminal, so if there is a flag I can use for this please let me know.
best,
Ondrej

opengl save hardware
then quit and re-enter MATLAB.
You could also consider using hardwarebasic instead of hardware.
