Hello,
I am trying to understand the Histc function of Matlab, but I am not able to get what it means by Index Matrix in this syntax
    [N,BIN] = HISTC(X,EDGES,...)
The official documentation of Matlab does not contain any examples with this index matrix and I have not seen much Matlab examples with this NBIN code.
Could someone please explain how this works ?

        N is a vector, one element per bin, where each element is the count for that bin.
BIN is the same size as the input "X", and indicates the index number of the bin that the corresponding element of X fell into.
For example,
X = [3 7 7 7 7 3 7 3 3 3 7]
[N, BIN] = histc(X, [3 7])
Then N = [5 6], BIN = [1 2 2 2 2 1 2 1 1 1 2]
