How to cut subarea on satellite wind global data.

Hi to everyone... I have satellite wind data covering the globe, in form of a matrix of latitude x longitude dimension... I want to extract some of the data of the matrix, a squared region of the wind data, let's say a square (sub-area) with in betwneen 20 ° and 15 ° N and -110° and -105 °w.. any ideas on how to index these data? I know that w(lat>=20) will give me the value of w (wind speed) for latitudes 20° and more, but how to I write the code for logical indexing that squared area? Thank you!

w(lat >= 15 & lat <= 20, long >= -110 & long <= -105)
