Through the command "Send data to Matlab" I send a number from an Excel sheet into the Matlab workspace. While this procedure works, I do not like the resulting data type. While I would like it to be of data type "double" it turns out to be "cell". How can I switch the resulting data type? Thanks, Renato.

Hi,
You can try sending data using import data icon in the home panel. The desired data to be imported can be selected and the output type can be set to numeric matrix. This sets your data type to double. Hope this solves your problem.
