Creating a m-file within a script

I have a Matlab code, in that there is this line which I am unable to understand. Please interpret this command line:
write_fcn('D_matrix.m',{'q','p'},[list_q; param_list],{D_mtx,'D'});

write_fcn is not a native Matlab function, nor does it seem to exist on the file exchange. The Mind reading toolbox hasn't been published yet, so you'll have to share the function. Also, have a read here and here. It will greatly improve your chances of getting an answer.

write_fcn is not a built-in Matlab function. It must be defined somewhere in your code. Without knowledge of that function or the values of the other parameters, we cannot provide much information.
I suggest putting a breakpoint at that line of code and Stepping In to that function to see what it is doing.
