Normalize Images with different illumination

Hi,
I need to obtain the Green to Blue ratio from images taken with different illuminations.
The image has a white part and a color spot, I am interested in the Green to Blue ratio in the color spot, 5% error is ok.
I would like to know if it is valid to take the 
, 
and 
in a white region of the image 1, find a ratio to the 
, 
and 
in image 2 and later apply these ratios to the color spot.
