32-bit matlab runtime libraries in C#

I am trying to have my wpf C# application run in 32-bit mode as I have dependent libraries that I cannot change. I have installed the 32-bit MatLab runtime libraries and compiled my code with a 32-bit version of MatLab, however when I import the dll's into C# I get a BadImageFormatException as it is running the 64-bit MatLab runtime libs.
Is there a way to get my C# project to run the 32-bit runtime libraries exclusively? I'm not using any other MatLab functions other than this one. The COM type libraries only show the 64-bit Matlab Application.
