Live Editor background colour

I wonder whether there is any indication from mathworks as to when the Live Editor will be getting settings that allow to customise its background and code colour.
This is a vital feature for Mathworks to implement. Most programmers use dark-themed backgrounds and colour schemes. This works well in regular Matlab scripts, but when you use the Live Editor you all of a sudden have to contend with a strident white background, which is very unpleasant indeed and whose colour cannot be changed!

As of R2022a, you can now configure live editor's background and foreground colors. See more info: https://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/release-notes.html

I just downloaded the new version and saw this change... amazing. No more flashbang to the eyes during late night coding sessions
Just installed 2022a and saw my earlier LiveScript project on 2021b and screamed with joy.

Hi,
Currently live-editor does not support custom background/themes, this is a known issue and will be fixed in the future releases.
Hope this helps!

Glad that this is being worked on! Looking forward to this update.
Is there a timeline of when the issue will be fixed and the release date?
We need this feature especially now that I got MATLAB sessions on all my classes. my eyes hurt at the end of the day due to long working hours on Live Editor
Been over a year now. Any updates on this?
