Trying to write code to generate a vector "v" of the probability mass function for the following: flip 8 coins what is the probability of getting 0-8 heads on each of the 64 possible outcomes; my goal is once I have this vector I can plug it into "bar(0:8,v)" to create a histogram of the distribution of probabilities of getting n number of heads in a given coin toss. Thanks!

This sounds like a homework assignment. If it is, show us the code you've written to try to solve the problem and ask a specific question about where you're having difficulty and we may be able to provide some guidance.
If you aren't sure where to start because you're not familiar with how to write MATLAB code, I suggest you start with the MATLAB Onramp tutorial (https://www.mathworks.com/support/learn-with-matlab-tutorials.html) to quickly learn the essentials of MATLAB.
If you aren't sure where to start because you're not familiar with the mathematics you'll need to solve the problem, I recommend asking your professor and/or teaching assistant for help.

Thank you for your response. I am a 4th year medical student on a research fellowship in neuroscience. I am attempting to teach myself Matlab using the text matlab for neuroscientists 2nd ed. by wallisch et al. I will refer to the tutorials link.

If you have the Statistics and Machine Learning Toolbox, then
v = binopdf(0:8,8,0.5)
