Is there a way to include a mlx file in another mlx file?

I'm starting a continuing education effort.
Part of of my effort is to take some online courses revolving around statistics. My plan was to use MatLab as a notebook. In RStudio I would have one .Rmd file include the .Rmd files for various topics/chapters and generate a table of content from them based on heading levels.
I have found the insert TOC for the live editor, but it does not seem to be configurable (depth, numbering,..). Additionally I have not found any way to inlcude child .mlx files.
Is this possible? Am I misunderstanding the purpose of the mlx format? Is there a different MatLab file format that will be able to accomodate my goals?

I've started to read the report generator documentation.
The more I read the more I'm starting to wonder why the development team didn't embrace markdown in their live documents implmentation.
Working with the report generator looks painful enough that I'll most likely use MatLab to generate content and then put it together in RStudio....which begins to make me question the wisdom of my purchase of a MatLab license.

Hi,
Right now the Matlab Live Editor doesn't have support for including another mlx file, I have brought this issue to the concerned people and it might be considered in any future release.
