Getting an error when trying to add kml-toolbox (add on) to my path

I am getting this error after I tried adding the kml-toolbox to my path using addpath()
Warning: Method directories not allowed in MATLAB path
I downloaded the kml-toolbox from the matlab addon/ github link associated. Link here: https://github.com/theolivenbaum/kml-toolbox
