Recording video while simultaneously running other functions in background

I am running a script that tells a robot to move and records data from the robot. I am looking to implement a video record function that does not interupt my existing code where I can automatically strart recording video of the robot experiment just before the experiment and end the recording just as the experiment ends.

Any suggestions that don't interfere with my current code too drastically?

Hi,

You can create a simple VideoWriter object. Open the object when you run the robot and write the frame and close it when the experiment is completed.
