MATLAB limitation in reading from excel ?!

Hello everybody!

I need to read data from an excel file in my code, but the file includes more than 500000 rows! (500900 to be accurate) and then do so many calculations and fittings, ... .

What options do I have? Any ideas?

If it can't read it all at once, read it in chunks to not overload the COM Excel Server and process it as you go.

Ok. But how "reading in chunks" can be done? (beginner)

Hint:

Use for loop and use the xlrange option of the xlsread command.
