One of my project involves using MATLAB's predictive maintenance toolbox to use the diagnostic feature explorer. My data is recorded in excel format. I would like to know how to import this data t othe diagnostic feature explorer and how to convert the excel sheet into the required format

If the data is not too big to fit into MATLAB memory, I would suggest importing it into MATLAB first as a set of tables or timetables. Then import that set of tables/timetables into the Diagnostic Feature Designer.
Another, more flexible, way is to create a fileEnsembleDatastore object that points to the folders where you have your Excel data. See https://www.mathworks.com/help/predmaint/ug/file-ensemble-datastore-with-measured-data.html
