Problem with installing Matlab on Drive C, Win 7

Hi Everybody,

I was trying to update my Matlab to 2020a. As the free space was not enough on C drive, I said to install it on D drive.

It seems it did nnot understand it, so when it was in the middle of intallation it said free up space on Drive C. So, I discarded the installation.

Currently, my C drive that has more than 10 Gb of free space has less than 2 Gb due to half installtion of R2020a!

How should I delete these files in make my C drive like before? It is not shown on the "uninstall a program."

These ways were not working.

It has occupied my C drive while opening the folder, nothing is shown in Matlab folder!

The problem originates from the fact that the installation procedure using the Matlab website is not perfect and it does not change the installation directory although it asks you.

What should I do with this problem? And how to delete files that are not shown?

Maybe the download is still present on your C drive, as that tends to be where your downloads folder is.

Also, 10GB of free space is very little these days. If you have a hard drive it will result in file fragmentation, which hurts performance, and if you have an SSD it will increase the wear, lessening its life span. You might consider being more selective with which toolboxes you install to reduce the installation size.
