how to design a modular multi level converter with igbts

I am designing a modular multilevel converter i have the problem ith connecting the switching modules.can any one answer this question

here i had taken it from the library of power electronics and i had connected the pulse generator,and i connected a resistor to the output terminal of the mmc .the output i got was dc line.How can this be connected such that i can get the output wave form as a stepped wave

Hi,
You can take a look at attached image which shows the usage and connection of input ports in order for MMC to work fine.
You can try different configurations as per your design requirements.
For more info on usage of half bridge MMC , you can have look at input output section of link which clearly specifies the design implementation:
