Hi,
If the spring is acting on the stem side of the poppet, is Cartridge Valve Insert still the block I used for the application? If so how do I make sure that the spring is acting on the poppet on the stem side rather than acting directly on the head of poppet?

Looking at the Documentation of this block, I don't think the forces would be in the right direction if you use this block. Also the preload force can't be negative, so we can't cheat by doing that either. I guess the best path forward is to use the Poppet Valve block to model the opening and use Cylinders and masses to model the spool movement, and pass the position info to the poppet S port.
