Command history not updating with -nodesktop mode

Hello,

I prefer working in the -nodesktop mode of Matlab. However I have one problem, which is my command history doesnt get updated. It gets updated correctly in normal mode. I open command history during startup from my startup.m file. Any idea why this is happening.

Matlab version: 2018a

Could you attach your 'history.m' and 'history.xml' files, so that others are able to investigate further? Secondly, how are you loading command history using startup.m?

*.xml file format is not supported here. I have attached history.m. In my startup I simply load command history using commandhistory command. It seems to me that history.m is not updating at all
