Pole pair on Single Phase Asynchronous motor Cap Start-Run

Hi,

I am getting an error while trying to simulate a Single phase Asynchronous motor. When I change the pole pair from 2 which is the default to 1 I am getting negative rpm. When the pole pair is 2 or 3 or 4 it works fine with the correct speed and positive rpm.

When simulating a single-phase asynchronous motor, the number of pole pairs directly affects the motor's speed. The negative RPM you're observing when setting the pole pair to 1 could be due to the change in the motor's synchronous speed, which is inversely proportional to the number of pole pairs. In an open-loop simulation, the motor's direction of rotation might change, leading to negative RPM values.
