Finding critical/equilibrium Points of a nonlinear System

9 views (last 30 days)
I'm given the following nonlinear equations:
Dx1 = @(x1,x2) (x1-1).*(x1+x2);
Dx2 = @(x1,x2) x2 - x1.^2;
What would be the best method to find the critical/equilibrium points.

Hi Anthony,
I assume equilibrium occurs when Dx1 and Dx2 are equal to zero.
Now you may calculate the values of x1 and x2 by using these two equations.
Hope this Helps!
