matlab 2021b installed but not working

I'm on a Windows 10 machine. I had a well functioning Matlab 2020b installed and then suddenly it stopped working. When I try to open Matlab, it shows up in my Task Manager but the software just doesn't open.
Could someone please help me?

Uninstall MATLAB and delete the installation file thoroughtly. Then install it again.
