Is there a way to stop Simulink from going through a function block after the first time during a Simulation

Hello,

I am trying to run a model in Simulink where I set some constant variables with values in the top heiarchy using MatLAB Function blocks. As the simulation continues through all of my blocks it goes back to the beginning function block and redefines everything. I am wondering if there is a way to run through the function block once and then ignore it as the simulation continues. Any help and/or advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
