Activex controls not visible in matlab

1 view (last 30 days)
Some activex controls are not visible in Matlab. for example OWC11.Spreadsheet.11. I can view these files with activexHelper and they are installed correctly and enabled. I am running Matlab 2013a 64bit and Windows 7 64 bit.
Thank you in advance

That's correct. I called about that ages ago and the answer I got was that not all ActiveX or COM objects are compatible with MATLAB for some reason, and only the ones it can work with will be available for you to select.

Thank you for reply. This kind of sux badly, however i saw in other post that people use OWC11.Spreadsheet.11 COM object. The com object in Matlabs help tutorial 'MWSAMP.MwsampCtrl.2' is not even listed in the actxcontrollist, even thou i can locate this file in Matlab's install directory. Do you now why i cannot change the properties of shell.explorer.2 in matlab? is there some reason for that as well. Seems like Python is starting to look like a better GUI programming solution than Matlab, which means rewriting a lot of code which i want to avoid.
looking forward to feed back
Thanks and keep well
