How to install add-On?

I have a student version of Matlab. According to documentation when I write supportPackageInstaller in command window there should be an option to choose the special file for add-on.However Matlab shows error : Undefined function or variable 'supportPackageInstaller'. As well as in toolbox I can't find Add-on Menu to install my add-on.

hi i have problem like you when i want install, install_addon the error is: Undefined function 'install_addon' for input arguments of type 'char' i search in net at first we need install_addon.m and zip file for that if you have the zip file for matlab 2016a please send me. thank you [e-mail]

Hi,

the supportPackageInstaller is a new feature in R2013b and doesn't exist in older releases than R2013b. Which version are you using? If its not 13b you need to look up the support package on the File Exchange. Only for example Simulink Support Package for Arduino Mega 2560 Hardware (R2012a)
