Why do I receive JAVA errors when I execute 'doc', in MATLAB 8.1 (R2013a) ?

When I execute 'doc' to open the documentation, the browser does not look as expected and I receive the following JAVA errors :

The error message is indicating that JxBrowser is unable to find some Mozilla libraries when launching the help browser.
A possible workaround for this issue is to install the Mozilla libraries or reinstall MATLAB.
