SG-Lib (current version 5.3 from Oct 2023 for 2023b) is an extremely comprehensive and powerful Matlab toolbox with several thousand functions for CAD design based on surface models in STL format. It has been continuously developed by Tim Lueth and his team since 2013 and is used at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) for the Bachelor Mechanical Engineering programme. The SG-Lib is used to generate solids, mechanisms and robots for 3D printing via a function library or command instructions and to ensure that these motion machines move as calculated in advance after 3D printing by means of integrated fitting concepts. The models can be animated as videos and exported as 3D files or combined files with assembly instructions. The "loadweb" command can be used to download the MAT files from the server of the Technical University of Munich. Many models can also be run directly in Simscape as a muti-body simulation. The functions for FEM or shape optimisation (CAO) and topology optimisation (SKO), for which the PDE toolbox is then also required, originate from Yilun Sun at TUM.

5.0.2

This is now in fact 5.0.1! Because of a github delay during publishing the changes, matlab central cached by accident the 5.0.0 instead of 5.0.1.

Compiled for 2020b for PC and MAC please use 5.0.1 after Oct. 2021

4.9.1

Release 4.9.1 has been adapted for R2020a and is strongly recommended as the latest version. In version 2020a the programming interface of SimScape is modified ("File Solid" instead of "Solid" or changed "Default Names" of the "Connectors" of "Sub
