About the Presenter
Dr Chong Shin Horng | Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (ARTC) | A*STAR
Dr. Chong is a seasoned researcher with a diverse skill set encompassing research design, academic writing, intercultural communication, education, and university teaching. She holds a distinguished Doctor of Engineering degree in Mechano-Micro Engineering from the prestigious Tokyo Institute of Technology since 2010. Her notable contributions include significant work on robotics projects, particularly developing human-robot collaboration for EV battery disassembly at ARTC.
Dr. Chong's primary research interests span precision motion control, control theory, rehabilitation assistive equipment, and biomedical engineering, pivotal in advancing technology and manufacturing.
Dr. Kishore Kanamarlapudi | Industry Manager, MathWorks – Singapore
Dr. Kishore Kanamarlapudi, the Industry Manager for Industrial Automation & Machinery, Energy, and Medical Devices segments at MathWorks, plays a pivotal role in engaging with key customers. His focus lies in adopting MATLAB & Simulink workflows and services for systems development and verification.
With over 11 years of experience, Dr. Kishore has been deeply involved in product development and systems deployment within the realm of A IoT - energy, grid modernization, power electronics, electric vehicles (EV), and renewable technologies. Prior to MathWorks, he worked with Engie, Bosch, General Motors and Tata Consultancy Services in various roles and industrial applications. Kishore holds Ph.D. in Power Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, India.
