You can view the system requirements and the disk usage of MATLAB in the link below:

The minimum hardware requirements are the same for the Student and Professional licenses. For R2016b on Windows, those are:
  • Any Intel or AMD x86-64 processor
  • disk: 2 GB for MATLAB only, 4–6 GB for a typical installation
  • memory: 2 GB, or 4 GB if you use Simulink
These are the minimum. There are some additional graphics and CPU recommendations.

An actual answer to this question (for Mac R2019a):
MATLAB 9.6 = 4095 MB
Simulink 9.3 = 6335 MB
Image Processing Toolbox 10.4 = 2877 MB
Computer Vision Toolbox 9.0 = 2030 MB
Signal Processing Toolbox 8.2 = 1867 MB
Communications Toolbox 7.1 = 1481 MB
Antenna Toolbox 4.0 = 1008 MB
Parallel Computing Toolbox 7.0 = 950 MB
Deep Learning Toolbox 12.1 = 804 MB
Control System Toolbox 10.6 = 796 MB
Symbolic Math Toolbox 8.3 = 770 MB
Simscape Multibody 6.1 = 723 MB
Statistics and Machine Learning Toolbox 11.5 = 704 MB
MATLAB Compiler 7.0.1 = 602 MB
Bioinformatics Toolbox 4.12 = 541 MB
Automated Driving Toolbox 2.0 = 521 MB
Mapping Toolbox 4.8 = 515 MB
Full listing in the attached spreadsheet. Hope this helps others.

These sizes are approximate. Some of the toolboxes install items that are shared by multiple products, and some of the toolboxes install examples that are arguably for a different toolbox
(for example an Automated Driving example might involve Computer Vision and Deep Learning, and might be more an example of an application in the topic of Automated Driving without using any functionality from Automated Driving Toolbox, so it becomes debatable which toolbox the example should be stored against.)

Agreed – the exact size changes somewhat based on which other toolboxes are installed, but these are nominally correct. I found them by selecting each toolbox 1 by 1 and looking at the increase in the total installation size.
