Why does my anti-virus software detect a virus named "Gen:Variant.Kazy.249057" when I install MATLAB 8.1 (R2013a)?

My antivirus detected a virus named "Gen:Variant.Kazy.249057" in the MATLAB file whose path is "C:\Program Files (x86)\MATLAB\R2013a Student\bin\win32\boost_serialization-vc100-mt-1_49.dll". This is preventing me from using MATLAB 8.1 (R2013a).

The file "C:\Program Files (x86)\MATLAB\R2013a Student\bin\win32\boost_serialization-vc100-mt-1_49.dll" is a MATLAB binary that is falsely being detected as a virus by some anti-virus tools.
Make sure you are installing MATLAB using an official installation method, such as the MATLAB official installation CD, or downloading the MATLAB installer directly from the MathWorks website.
Also, make sure that you are running the latest version of your anti-virus software, with the latest anti-virus definitions.
If you are using an official MATLAB installer and the file is still being detected as a virus during the installation of MATLAB, then we recommend disabling your anti-virus software while installing MATLAB. You can also instruct your anti-virus software to restore the file to its original location and ignore this file in future scans.
If this does not allow you to continue using MATLAB, then please contact technical support for more assistance.
