Why can't I type into any text fields, including the MATLAB login page, the Add-On Explorer, or the Installer on my Linux machine?
Why can I not proceed with my installation after choosing Advanced Options?
Why can't I click on a field to edit the text in the installer?

This issue may occur in releases starting from R2018a. Please see the following EBR for all updates on this issue: https://www.mathworks.com/support/bugreports/details/1797911.
As a workaround, pressing "alt-tab" on user keyboard to move out of the current window, and then "alt-tab" again to move back in will typically re-allow for input.
Note: When trying to select items in Advanced Options, you may need to perform the "alt-tab" method again, and then utilize the arrow keys to navigate to the item you want to select, and then press the enter/return key to confirm selection.
If this does not work, please try using MATLAB Package Manager to perform installation. A link to this can be found below.
