Transferring data (many decimals) from Matlab to excel

6 views (last 30 days)
Hello everybody, I have a question regarding transfer of data from matlab to an excel sheet.
I have many tables with a huge amount of data consisting of numbers with many decimals. I want to transfer those to excel. If I copy paste it, excel puts a . every 3 decimals instead of where the , should actually be.
Example: 1.510035138631854 gets converted to --> 151.003.513.863.185 in excel, where it should be 1,510035138631854
Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this problem? I am working on a Mac and with MatlabR2024a.
Thanks so much in advance :)

Do not copy-and-paste table/numeric data. Export using WRITETABLE.

Hi Camilla,
instead of interactive copy-pasting, I would consider commands like writetable or writematrix. This may also help you to automate working with lots of tables and data.
Best wishes,
Harald
