Phase to phase voltage in Three-Phase Source

39 views (last 30 days)
I'm using Simscape features in Simulink. In the "Three-Phase Source" block the setting of the "Phase to phase voltage" parameter is defined as RMS. But I can not get the nominal values. I can only apply a division by root of 2. Is it right or am I making a mistake?

Hello Ademir,
the RMS voltage is Vpeak/sqrt(2). Vline to line = Vphase*sqrt(3). It sounds like you are doing it correctly.

I am using the Simscape 3 pahse source ( specialized Power systems) to power a 3 phase induction motor. However, I observe that the phase to phase voltages between the three phases are showing slightly different values. None of the values match the setting of the model namely 400V rms. The .slx file is attached.

Hello Maya,
you have your source set to 50 hz but the RMS blocks set to 60 hz. They need to the be same for the calculation to work.

Joel
