I am working on a model comprising a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine, I have used the AC6 PMSM Drive from the Simscape Power system Library. I have changed the parameters according the attached suppliers motor specification with Moter of which is rated with an rpm of 4800. unfortunately I never reach this rpm, it stucks on 1800 like the initial example, how can adjust the parameters so I reach the stated 4800rpm?
Motor Parameters I have used: resistance (ohm)= 0.846 inductance (H)= 3.70E-03 torque constant (Nm/A_peak)= 0.862670273 inertia (kgm2)= 0.00037 pole pairs= 6

Hello Felix,
you will also need to tune the controller. You should tune the controller first in a simpler system with a constant torque load until you can get the motor to spin at your desired speed there. Then you can add the rest of the model. In your model, there reaches a point where the motor can't track the torque request generated by the speed controller and that is where your speed flatlines. You also may need a higher dc voltage to drive the motor to the speeds you want. I couldn't tell from the data sheet what your motor was designed for.
Regards,
Joel
