Why is the Simulation Mode drop-down menu disabled in Simulink?

I would like to choose different Simulation modes, such as Accelerator and Rapid Accelerator mode, to speed up my Simulink simulation. However, the drop-down menu to switch between Simulation Modes is greyed out. Why is this?

This is a limitation when using a Home or Student license. Accelerator and Rapid Accelerator simulation modes are not available when using Simulink with a Home and Student license.

You will either need a Standard or Education/Academic license to have access to these simulation modes. Refer to the Pricing and Licensing page for an estimate of prices.
