Does MATLAB Engine on UNIX require csh?

My Engine application fails to starts and returns the error
Can't start MATLAB engine
I do not have /bin/csh installed on my system.

In order for MATLAB Engine programs to start on UNIX systems, you must have csh installed at /bin/csh.
