Why does notebook -setup fail with non-US version of Windows XP?

Some users are experiencing problems with:

notebook -setup

when using a non-US version of Windows XP. The problem could be related to the function:

function templateLoc = getTemplateLoc

in notebook.m

To work around this issue, replace 'template' with the appropriate translation in the language of your Windows version.

Example: German version of Windows XP:

Replace in notebook.m line 210

templatepath = [appdatapath '\Microsoft\template'];

with

templatepath = [appdatapath '\Microsoft\Vorlagen'];
