Why does my Help Browser or Web Browser display blank pages in MATLAB on my Windows system?

11 views (last 30 days)
When I click on a help topic in the Help Browser, or try to access a Help documentation page via the DOC or WEB commands in the Command Window, the Help Browser pane remains blank.
Also, when trying to open a website in the MATLAB Web Browser, the browser pane remains blank.

The display of blank pages when using the Help and/or Web Browser in MATLAB can be caused by one or more corrupted shared library files (DLL's) in the following folders in the MATLAB root directory:
$MATLABROOT\sys\webrenderer\windows or $MATLABROOT\sys\webrenderer\windows\corecomponents
where $MATLABROOT can be found by executing the following at the command prompt:
matlabroot
To resolve this behavior, re-install MATLAB.
